DAY2Beijing

After breakfast, full day trip to visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace.
 
Tiananmen Square is the largest city square in the world, at 440,000 square meters, and can hold about one million people for public celebration or gatherings. In the square tourists can climb the Tiananmen Rostrum, attend the national flag raising ceremony every morning at sunrise, visit the National Museum of China, and go to the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, in which one will see the body of the great Chinese leader.
Forbidden City, also known as Palace Museum, was home to 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the ancient time, the emperor claimed to be the son of the heaven and such divine place was certain forbidden for the ordinary people and it is why the Forbidden City is so called. 
The Temple of Heaven is a large park and temple complex situated in more or less the south central area of Beijing. Its center piece is a large tower built, it is said, entirely of wood and not using a single nail. It is said that the main features of the park are its trees and inhabitants.
Summer Palace is regarded as the best preserved imperial garden in the world, and the largest of its kind still in existence in China. The Chinese call it Yihe Yuan (Garden of Restful Peace), and the landscaped gardens, temples, and pavilions were designed to achieve harmony with nature, to soothe, and to please the eye. The Summer Palace was listed on the World Heritage List by the UNESCO in 1998.

DAY3Beijing

Today you will discover Badaling Great Wall, Ming Tombs, outside look at the Bird Nest and the Water Cube
 
The Badaling Great Wall locates only 70 km from Beijing. Constructed during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it extends in all directions which is the reason it be called Badaling. Badaling is the most visited section of the Great Wall. The Badaling Great Wall resound in the whole world, it is the first part which open to tourist of the Great Wall.

The Ming Tombs, located in Changping District, about 50 kilometers from the northwest of Beijing, are surrounded by mountains on three sides. There are 13 Ming Dynasty emperors buried there (along with 23 empresses and a number of concubines, princes and princesses), thus it is also called The 13 Mausoleums. These tombs are the best preserved Chinese imperial tombs and have been nominated by UNESCO as world cultural heritage.

DAY4Beijing – Shanghai by Train

After breakfast in the hotel, take a morning high speed train to Shanghai. Your Shanghai tour guide will meet you at the railway station, and then you will have half day Shanghai tour of Yu Garden, the Bund and Nanjing Road
 
Yuyuan Garden is located in the heart of Shanghai's old Chinese quarter and links to Yuyuan Market. Built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty in the Suzhou style by a high official Pan Yunduan in honor of his father, the garden has maintained its classic beauty over the centuries. The Yuyuan Garden was considered the best garden in Southeast China. It is a renowned traditional landscape garden in Jiangnan. 
The Bund is a 1.5-kilometer-long boulevard on the western bank of the Huangpu River. For more than 100 years, it has been the symbol of Shanghai. Shanghai people are proud of the Bund. It shows the culture of Shanghai and the creation of modern civilization to people.

Yu Garden

Today you will explore Zhujiajiao Water Town, a famous ancient water town throughout the country, and Shanghai Xin Tian Di.
 
Zhujiajiao Ancient Water Town is a town with over 1,000 years of history featuring rivers, bridges, old streets and gardens. Thousands of examples of Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty architecture lie on the sides of the lakes and the 36 stone bridges retain their ancient style. There are famous sights like Fangsheng Bridge, Baoguo Temple, Town God's Temple and Zhuxi Garden, offering different kinds of photo opportunities.
Xin Tian Di, which means "the New World" in English, is located at the very Centre of the City. Covering a total area of 30,000 square meters, it is a fashionable pedestrian street composed of Shikumen and modern architecture style.
