Guilin is situated along the Lijiang River, which is a favorite travel attractions china in itself. The beauty of the water and the karst peaks towering into the sky have attracted travelers to this area for centuries.
Take the ferry boat to the opposite side of Li River for hiking. There are total 4 times to take the ferry boat before getting to Xingping.
It is located on the west bank of Li River, about 46 km from Guilin.It’s the first stop of the trip is Yangdi village. The landscapes here is very spectacular, you can enjoy famous elegant mountains in China, delicate beach,winding water, striking waterfall, dense dotted villages andgreen bamboos. Yangdi is also an ideal place to enjoy the misty rain of Li River, Which seems to be a wonderland, peaceful, quiet and mysterious in spring.
Continue hike along the mountain road for about half an hour, you will meet a stretch road. The one on the right hand is short but is a little rural path not easy to walk, while the one on the left is longer but along the river bank with the most beautiful scenery. The scenery is really amazing with small hills and green water, also a great of fork sweet orange gardens. After walking for about 15 minutes, there is a little dock where local people sell some fruits or drinks here. Ending of the rural roads, you will pass a period cement dyke which is much easier to walk. On the way, you will pass some little stone bridges that built by the local people. Finish the cement dyke, you will continue to turn to the little mountain trail for hiking. There is a sign with a blue arrow beside the path and please follow the direction to turn right to go ahead. Just walk a short while, and then you will reach Laocuntou Village, where you may find a restaurant to have a rest.
