Day 1
Arrive / Guilin
Upon your arrival in Guilin, our professional tour guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to 3 star Zhongshan Hotel.
Day 2
Guilin / Jiuwu ( B, L, D )
Drive 2 hour to Jiuwu Town where our trekking tour starts, wading through a small river, we trek into the mountains. In spring, you will see many wild unamed flowers, lizards on shrubbery, brooks singing in mountains, birds twitering in trees, you will see Yulan Flower, they are usually 3-4 meters high, the flowers are white and as large as the palm of a man.
At noon, we will reach a villageof minority people with the name Bauji that is on the top of a mountain, there are 3 families living lonely there, their houses are made of bamboo and wood, beside the houses there are some peach trees, in spring, the pink flowers will be in full blossom. In front of the houses there are several small terraced fields, chickens are finding foods on the fields. looking at the clusters of Yulan flowers and pear flowers on the opposite mountains, you will experience a magical taste of the contrast and variety that Nature here has to offer. We will have lunch at one family and take a rest.
After lunch, we keep trekking, on the way, we will see red and white camellia flowers, after climing over several mountains, we go down the mountain along a valley, on the way, you will see the sea of bamboos, the peasants are growing vegetables low at the foot of the terraced fields. Passing through a small path in bamboos, we arrive at a small village, we will have dinner and stay overnight in one of the peasant's family, their wood house was made in 1971.
Day 3
Jiuwu ( B, L, D )
After breakfast, we keep trekking 2 hours on the small bumping and winding path at the waist of the mountains, there are many tall bamboos on both sides of the small path, occationally, we will meet peasants passing by, these honest and simple people always warmly greeting the guests from afar. Some peasants spend their whole life in the mountains, they have never been to any cities such as Guilin, though Guilin is only 110 kilometers away from their home.
After getting down the mountains, we drive to the foot of Longji Terraced firlds, trekking 3 hours to the top. Longji Terraced Fields were first built in the Yuan dynasty (1279-1368 AD) and completed in the Qing dynasty (1644-1911 AD) by Zhuang people. The terraced fields are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountaintop, with the highest place of an elevation of 885m and the lowest 380m. Stay overnight in the wooden hotel of minority people.
Day 4
Jiuwu / Guilin ( B, L )
Get down the terraced fields, drive 3 hours back to guilin, free for you to recover from the hard trekking.
Day 5
Guilin / Exit ( B )
Transfer to Guilin airport for your departure.
