Additionally, we will have a chance to visit the newly returned female panda, three-year-old Mei Lan who was born at Zoo Atlanta.

Opened in 2003, the center is home to approximately 80 adult pandas and cubs, including the beloved Tai Shan, the National Zoo-born male panda, who moved to China in February 2010. We will stop by and say hello to Hua Mei, the San Diego Zoo-born female panda, who has had three births since her return to China in 2006.
