Day 1
Arrive / Beijing
Upon your arrival in Beijing, our tour guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2
Beijing ( B, L, D )
Visit the Forbidden City (the Imperial Palace), the Tiananmen Square and the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy the Beijing Duck Dinner and the Peking Opera in the evening.
The Forbidden City -- Used to be the imperial palace of the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1616-1911) dynasties.
The Tiananmen Square -- Tian'anmen was the front gate of the Imperial Palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. In front of the gate is the world's largest open ground in the city - the Tian'anmen Square.
The Temple of Heaven -- An outstanding representative of Chinese traditional architecture for its clever design and harmoneous colors. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the emperor came to pray and thank gods for the harvests every year.
Beijing Duck Dinner -- The most delicious food Beijing has to offer.
The Peking Opera -- The most influential and representaive of all operas in China and has a history of about 200 years.
Day 3
Beijing ( B, L )
Take an excursion to the Badaling Great Wall and the Ming Tombs.
The Badaling Great Wall -- The best preserved part of the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644) Great Wall.
The Ming Tombs -- The mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. The mausoleums have been perfectly preserved.
Day 4
Beijing / Lhasa ( B, L )
Tour to the Summer Palace. Transfer to the airport for flight to Lhasa. Free in the afternoon, acclimatize yourself to the high altitude.
The Summer Palace -- A magnificent imperial garden, the largest ancient preserved garden in China and a former summer resort for emperors.
Day 5
Lhasa ( B, L )
Visit the Potala Palace, the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka and a Tibetan family
Potala Palace -- Perched upon Marpo Ri hill, 130 meters above the Lhasa valley, the Potala Palace rises a further 170 meters and is the greatest monumental structure in all of Tibet.
Sera Monastery -- One of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa. Sera in Tibetan means Wild Rose Garden since opulent wild rose woods once grew around it. Sera Monastery is as prestigious as Drepung and Ganden, which had a longer history.
Norbulingka -- Dalai Lama's former summer palace, constructed in the 18th century, is a mastrepiece of Tibetan art.
Day 6
Lhasa ( B, L )
Visit the Jokhang Temple, the Drepung Monastery, the Tibet Museum and the Barkhor Street.
The Jokhang Temple -- The spiritual center of Tibet. Everyday pilgrims from every corner of Tibet trek a long distance to the temple.
The Drepung Monastery -- The largest and richest monastery ever in Tibet, it was founded in 1416, the monastery covers a floor space of more than 200 thousand square meters. At its peak, it had a registration of more than 10,000 thousand monks. Many high and learned lamas had learned here.
The Tibet Museum -- The first large-sized comprehensive modern museum in the Tibet Autonomous Region; it is a brilliant literary and arts palace of the Tibetan people, a gem of Tibetan civilization and a treasure house of Tibetan cultural relics.
Barkhor Street -- A circular street, which is the oldest street in Lhasa and remains very traditional.
Day 7
Lhasa / Xi'an ( B, L )
Transfer to the airport for flight to Xi'an. Upon arrival transfer to hotel. visit the Ancient City Wall. Enjoy the Tang Dynasty Dinner Show this evening.
The Tang Dynasty Dinner Show -- A performance of Chang'an music and dances that was originated in the Tang dynasty of Chinese history over a thousand years ago.
Day 8
Xi'an ( B, L, D )
Visit the Terra-Cotta Warriors Museum, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Forest of Stone Steles Museum. Enjoy the local speciality Dumpling dinner this evening.
The Terracotta Warriors Museum -- The most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. It is a sight not to be missed by any visitor to China.
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda -- The Pagoda was first built in 652 in the Tang Dynasty. Xuanzang, a prominent Buddhist scholar of the time, planned to have ahuge stone pagoda built to house the Sanskrit Buddhist scriptures he had brought back from India.
The Forest of Stone Steles Museum -- The Stele Forest stores voluminous artworks which possess not only eximious value of handwriting and art, but also rich cultural connotation. The Stele Forest began to be built in 1087.
Dumpling -- A traditional and popular food with a long history in China. There is a popular saying in China: "There is nothing more delicious than Jiaozi."
Day 9
Xi'an / Guilin ( B, L )
Visit the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum and the Great Mosque. Transfer to the airport for flight to Guilin. Our guide will meet you at Guilin airport and transfer to the hotel.
The Shaanxi Provincial History Museum -- Covers an area of 70,000 square meters, the museum houses a large collection of 113,000 historic and cultural artefacts unearthed in Shaanxi, being an absolute must for every visitor to the city.
The Great Mosque -- Built in 742 A.D., the mosque was restored in each of the Yuan (1271 - 1368), Ming and Qing Dynasties. The distribution of pavilions, halls, towers and platforms in the mosque is compact and exquisite, blending the traditional architectural styles of Islam and Han.
Day 10
Guilin / Li River Cruise / Yangshuo ( B, L )
Cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo which takes 3-4 hours, enjoy the most beautiful landscape in China, have lunch on board. Disembark your ship when arriving Yangshuo, an ancient small town which famous for beautiful scenery and vast collections of China products.
Day 11
Yangshuo ( B )
Bicking tour from Yangshuo to Yulong River and the nearby countryside, visit a local peasant's home, explore the breathtaking scenery in Yangshuo. Or today is free for you.
Day 12
Yangshuo / Guilin ( B, L )
Drive back to Guilin. Tour to the Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill.
The Reed Flute Cave --The largest and most impressive cave in Guilin, you will see many beautiful stalactites & stalagmites.
The Seven Star Park -- A beautiful park which covers 120 hectares and includes peaks, rivers, caves, gardens and relics.
The Elephant Trunk Hill: Situated majestically at the southeast of Guilin city and west bank of Li River, Elephant Trunk Hill is regarded as the symbol of Guilin landscape.
Day 13
Guilin / Hongkong ( B )
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Hongkong. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to the hotel. Free time for shopping.
Day 14
Hong Kong / Exit ( B )
Free day. Transfer to the airport for your departure.
