Arrive / Xi'an
Tour sites: the City Wall
Arrive in Xi'an. Be met and transferred to your hotel by private tour guide and vehicle. we will visit the City Wall. Be transferred back to your hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure.
The City Wall --the best preserved, oldest and largest ancient city defense system in China. The wall has a history of over 600 years.
Day 2
Xi'an / Mt. Huashan / Xi'an ( B, L )
Tour sites: Mt. Huashan
Drive one and half hours to Mount Huashan, Take cable car to North Peak of Mountain Hua. Climb Thousand-feet Stone Pillar, Lianhua Peak, Yuquan Court and Changjin Pavilion. Drive back to Xi'an.
Mount Huashan --Situated in Huayin City, 120 kilometers (about 75 miles) east from Xi'an City of Shaanxi Province, Mt. Huashan is known as 'The Number One Precipitous Mountain under Heaven'. It is one of the five sacred mountains in China. The other four mountains are Mt. Taishan in Shandong, Mt. Hengshan in Hunan, Mt. Hengshan in Shanxi, and Mt. Songshan in Henan.
Day 3
Xi'an ( B, L )
Tour sites: the Shaanxi Historical Museum, the Great Mosque, the Forest of Stone Steles Museum
Today, visit the Shaanxi Historical Museum, the Great Mosque and the Forest of Stone Steles Museum.
Shaanxi Province -- it is the birthplace of the ancient Chinese civilization. Xian City was the capital city in thirteen dynasties which in total lasted over 1100 years. Consequently, the ancient history of Shaanxi is to some degree the ancient history of China. The Shaanxi History Museum considers it an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations.
The Great Mosque-- it is one of the oldest one in Xi'an, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China and its location is northwest of the Drum Tower (Gu Lou) on Huajue Lane.
The Forest of Stone Steles Museum -- It was initially established in AD 1087 when some precious stone steles were moved here for safe keeping, including the 'Classic on Filial Piety' written by Emperor Xuanzong in AD 745 and 'the Kaicheng Stone Steles' carved in AD 837. With an area of 31,000 square meters, the Forest of Stone Steles used to be the principal museum for Shaanxi Province since 1944. Then because of the large number of stone steles, it was officially named as the Forest of Stone Steles Museum in 1992.
Day 4
Xi'an ( B, L, D )
Tour sites: Terracotta Warriors and Horses, the Bell Tower, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
Today, we will visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, the Bell Tower and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Completed the day with Dumpling Dinner and the Tang Dynasty Show.
Terracotta Warriorsand Horses -the Eighth Wonder of the World. More than 6,000 different looking pottery figures depict the history of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC-206 BC. Move on to visit
the Bell Tower - the largest and best-preserved wooden tower of its kind.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda -Originally built in 652 of Tang Dynasty, the pagoda is nctioned to collect Buddhist materials that were taken from India by the hierarch Xuanzang. Now it is Landmark of the Xi'an.
the Tang Dynasty Show -performance of Chang'an music and dances that was originated in the Tang dynasty over a thousand years ago.You will enjoy a national art reflects the glory and richness of the Tang Dynasty era. Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour.
Day 5
Xi'an ( B, L )
Tour sites: the Xianyang Museum, the Qianling Mausoleum, the Maoling Mausoleum.
The Xianyang Museum --focuses its exhibition on the historical relics of the Qin and the Han dynasties. Xianyang City is 28 kilometers away from Xi'an. It was the capital of the famous Qin Dynasty in Chinese history.
The Qianling Mausoleum -- the joint tomb of Emperor Tang Gaozong and Empress Wu Zetian, the only Empress in Chinese history.
The Maoling Mausoleum -- the tomb of Emperor Wudi in the Western Han Dynasty (206BC-8AD). It is the biggest mausoleum of the Western Han Dynasty. Be transferred back to your hotel after the whole day tour.
Day 6
Xi'an / Exit ( B )
Be transferred to airport to connect flight.
