Arrive / Xi'an
Tour sites: theGreat Mosque
Upon your arrival, be picked up from airport and transferred to your hotel by private guide and English speaking tour guide. After a rest, have a visist to the Great Mosque.
The Great Mosque -- The Great Mosque in Xian is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China and its location is northwest of the Drum Tower (Gu Lou) on Huajue Lane.
Day 2
Xi'an ( B, L )
Tour sites: Terracotta Warriors and Horses, the Forest of Stone Steles Museum, the City Wall, the Tang Dynasty Show
Today, you will visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, and then the Forest of Stone Steles Museum and the City Wall. Enjoy the Tang Dynasty Show in the evening.
The Terracotta Warriors and Horses -- At the mention of the great number of Xian attractions, terracotta soldiers always come as the first. The great archeological excavation of Qin (221BC-206BC) Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses unfolded a strong army of altogether 7,000 life-size pottery soldiers, horses, chariots and weapons arranged in battle formations symbolically, guarding the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.
The Forest of Stone Steles Museum -- It was initially established in AD 1087 when some precious stone steles were moved here for safe keeping, including the 'Classic on Filial Piety' written by Emperor Xuanzong in AD 745 and 'the Kaicheng Stone Steles' carved in AD 837. With an area of 31,000 square meters, the Forest of Stone Steles used to be the principal museum for Shaanxi Province since 1944. Then because of the large number of stone steles, it was officially named as the Forest of Stone Steles Museum in 1992.
The City Wall -- Adorned with a moat and the circular park, the wall surrounds the square inner city of Xian. It is the most complete city wall to survive in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world, built first in the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and renovated in recent years.
The Tang Dynasty Show -performance of Chang'an music and dances that was originated in the Tang dynasty over a thousand years ago. The musicians present the music with the Tang-dynasty-style musical instruments. You will enjoy a national art that reflects the glory and richness of the Tang Dynasty era.
Day 3
Xi'an / Exit ( B )
Tour sites: the Big Wild Goose Pagoda
Today, we will visit the Shaanxi Historical Museum, before transfer to the airort for the flight to the next destination.
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda -- Originally built in 652 of Tang Dynasty, the pagoda is functioned to collect Buddhist materials that were taken from India by the hierarch Xuanzang. Now it is Landmark of the Xi'an.
