Day 1
Arrive / Chengdu ( D )
Tour sites: the Baogou Temple, the Mt. Emei
Arrive in Chengdu. Be met by our tour guide and private vehicle. Drive to Mt. Emer, have a visit to the Baoguo Temple, overnight on the foot of the moutain.
The Baoguo Temple --which is situated in the valley of Lingshan Mountain, about 15 kilometers away from downtown Ningbo City. The temple is the oldest and most completely preserved wooden structure construction in South China with over 970 years of age.
The Mt. Emei(160km) --one of the four sacred Buddhist Mountains of China. Along with Wutai Mount, Jiuhua Mount and Putuo Mount, Mt. Emei was famous for its various sceneries described as "four seasons in one mountain, variable climates within ten kilometers". The four great spectacles- Sea of clouds, Sunrise, Buddha Rays, and Saint Lamps are the must-sees when traveling in Emei.
Day 2Chengdu ( B, L, D )
Tour sites: the Mt. Emei, Leshan
Take half a day to see monks and the Myriad Years Monastery in the Mt.Emei. Ever since the introduction of Buddhism into China in the 1st century AD, Buddhist buildings have been built on the mountain. Now there are more than one hundred temples and monasteries. Be transferred to visit Leshan Giant Buddha, the biggest Buddhism statue in the world with 71 meters tall, and age of over 900 years. Cruise on the river in Leshan. Be transferred back to Chengdu late in the afternoon.
Day 3
Chengdu (B,L,D)
Tour sites: The Dufu Cottage, the Wangjiang Tower, the Panda Base.
Dufu Cottage --Dufu was one of the greatest poets of the Tang Dynasty and the Dufu Cottage is his residence when he took refuge in Chengdu. It was just in this small and simple house that Du Fu was inspired to write more than 200 poems, some of which are regarded as masterpieces of realist poetry.
Wangjiang Tower --Located on the south bank of Jinjiang River, Wangjiang (overlooking the river from distance) Tower is a memorial to a female poet of the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) - Xue Tao. It is also a symbol of Chengdu City and an ideal place to appreciate bamboos.
The Panda Base -- The base is located on the mountain of Futoushan in the northern suburbs of the city, where you can see pandas bred in nature.
Day 4
Chengdu / Exit ( B )
Be transferred to the airport to for the flight to the next destination.
Service ends.
