The Bund -- Situated on the east bank of the Huangpu River, here, one can enjoy the bracing air and fine sunshine as well as seeing something of the many activities along the river. The new finance and commercial houses cluster together along the south of the Bund while along the west there is a wealth of grand buildings in the European architectural styles of the nineteen-twenties, thirties and early forties.
Nanjing Road -- It is considered to be the 'No. 1 commercial street in China', which has been a landmark for this city for a long time. Along its 5.5 kilometers, you will find over 600 shops that on average are visited by some 1.7 million people each day.
Day 3
Shanghai ( B, L, D )
Tour sites: the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Museum, the Yuyuan Garden, Acrobatic Show.
Oriental Pearl TV Tower -- It is the modern symbol of Shanghai City. Standing beside the Huangpu River and opposite the Bund with a height of 468 meters (1536 feet), it is the tallest TV tower in Asia. This unusual structure that dominates the skyline is a great attraction to tourists. Moreover, Shanghai World Financial Center, the highest multi-purpose skyscraper in China, offers the full extent of Lujiazui and Puxi areas, attracting more and more visitors to appreciate the beautiful panorama of modern Shanghai.
Shanghai Museum -- Shanghai Museum is mainly composed of eleven galleries. The eleven galleries include galleries of Ancient Bronze, Ancient Sculpture, Ancient Porcelain and Ceramic Wares, Ancient Jade, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Paintings, Ancient Seals, Ancient Coins, Ming and Qing Furniture and Minority Nationalities' Art.
Yuyuan Garden -- The visitors also shouldn't miss the “Dragon Walls” in Yuyuan Garden. The walls in the garden are decorated with dragon heads. The titles covered on the walls resemble the dragons' scales, symbolizing the bodies of the dragons. Hence, these walls are called “Dragon Walls”.
