Arrive / Shanghai
Arrive in Shanghai. Be met and transferred to the hotel with private tour guide and vehicle. Remainder of day is at leisure.
Day 2
Shanghai ( B, L, D )
Tour sites: Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai Museum, the Bund, Acrobatic Show
Yuyuan Garden -- it is the largest of Shanghai's ancient gardens with Ming and Qing architectural styles. The garden has six areas, each with its own style. The Grand Rockery, in the center of the Garden, is the most renowned sight.
The Jade Buddha Temple -- It is one of the most famous Buddhist shrines in Shanghai. The White Jade Buddhas were brought here from Burma in the nineteenth century. One is seated while the other is in the recumbent position of Sakyamuni symbolizing the Buddha's attainment of enlightenment or nirvana.
Shanghai Museum -- Located in the center of Shanghai in People's Square, Shanghai Museum is a large museum of ancient Chinese art. The museum style and presentation surround visitors with artifacts demonstrating ancient wisdom and philosophy. The exterior design of the round dome and the square base symbolizes the ancient idea of a round heaven and a square land.
The Bund -- Situated on the east bank of the Huangpu River, here, one can enjoy the bracing air and fine sunshine as well as seeing something of the many activities along the river. The new finance and commercial houses cluster together along the south of the Bund while along the west there is a wealth of grand buildings in the European architectural styles of the nineteen-twenties, thirties and early forties.
Acrobatic Show -- Acrobatics is an interactive art form. Everyone, young or old, educated or not, can easily appreciate it while watching or seeing the acrobats perform. There is no language barrier and borders of culture do not limit it.
Day 3
Shanghai ( B, L )
Tour sites: Jinmao Tower, Xin Tian Di, Huangpu River Cruise
Jinmao Tower -- The 88-stories Jin Mao Tower was completed in 1999. It is 420.5 meters (almost 1380 feet) tall and covers an area of 2.3 hectares (5.68 acres). The architect, Adrian D. Smith, of this skyscraper ingeniously combined the elements of traditional Chinese culture with the newest architectural styles of the time, which makes Jin Mao Tower one of the best-constructed buildings in China.
Xin Tian Di -- If you want to experience the historical and cultural atmosphere of the city, Shanghai Xin Tian Di is a wise choice. Composed of Shikumen and modern architectural style, now it has become a hot and fashionable pedestrian street in the center of the city. Actually, it stands for the popular and leisurely life style of this city's new generation. The outdoor cafés, bars, romantic restaurants and even a special boutique which could be seen everywhere could slow down every people's pace.
Huangpu River Cruise -- The Huangpu River is not only the mother river of Shanghai, but also assembles the splendid tourist attractions of the city. In Shanghai, the Huangpu River cruise is a traditional tourist program. Cruises are available everyday, including the shorter cruises (navigating the main waterfront area between the Yangpu Bridge and the Nanpu Bridge) and the complete cruises (meandering eastward along the golden waterway, over a distance of 60 kilometers or 37 miles). The cruise starts from the Bund and goes upstream.
Day 4
Shanghai / Exit ( B )
Be transferred to airport to the flight to the next destination. Service Ends.
