Day 1
Arrive / Guiyang
On arrival into Guiyang you will be met by your friendly China Holidays guide who will transfer you to your Guiyang hotel for overnight.
Day 2
Guiyang ( B, L )
Tour sites: the Huangguoshu Waterfall
After breakfast at your hotel you will depart for a full day tour to the Huangguoshu Waterfall located in Tianxing Park. This is the largest waterfall in Asia. On completion of today’s tour you will be transferred to your local hotel for overnight.
Huangguoshu Waterfall -- Locates in Anshun is about 150 kilometers from Guiyang City. Of the Huangguoshu Waterfalls Cluster, the Huangguoshu Waterfall is the grandest. It's 77.8 meters tall and 101 meters wide. It's the biggest waterfall in China.
Day 3
Guiyang ( B, L )
Tour sites: the Dragon Palace, the Tianlong Village
This morning you will depart for another full day tour. Today you will take in the Dragon Palace and the Tianlong Village. You will return to Guiyang for overnight.
The Dragon Palace -- In the western suburbs of Anshun in Guizhou Province, there exists a magnificent underground cave system with lakes, waterfalls and stalactites, covering an area almost 60 square kilometers (about 23 square miles). Because the main cave looks like the crystal palace where the dragon king lives, it is known as Dragon Palace Cave.
Day 4
Guiyang ( B, L )
Tour sites: the Matang Gejia Village, the Kaili Museum
Today you will depart to visit the Matang Gejia Village and the Kaili Museum. You will overnight at a local Kaili hotel tonight.
Day 5
Guiyang / Exit ( B, L )
Tour sites: the Qiangman Village, the Shiqiao Village
You return to Guiyang this morning and visit the Qiangman Village and the Shiqiao Village. Then there will be the opportunity to see some traditional papermaking. On completion your guide will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight.
Qingman Miao Village -- Located about 14 miles to the southwest of Kaili, Qingman Miao Village is built along the mountain contours. Surrounded by green mountains and rivers, it is the sweet home to over 300 households and 1,600 Miao people. The unique wooden stilt houses put up range upon range are indeed a splendid scene to see!
Paper-making in Shiqiao Miao Village - Shiqiao paper is smooth, white, and difficult of bursting. It is said that the paper making in Shiqiao Miao Village has a history of over 1,000 years. By using Han people's experience, the local Miao people use high-quality spring water, tree roots and bark to make papers. Their craft of paper making is regarded as a “live fossil”. Come to Shiqiao, you'll have a chance to witness how they make papers.
