Shanghai Ocean Aquarium covers an area of about 13,000 square meters with a total construction area of over more than 20,000 square meters, which is known as "the second in the world, in Asia," the aquarium.
The Shanghai Ocean Aquarium is a public aquarium located in Shanghai, China. It is home to an Oranda goldfish named Bruce which measures 17.129 in. (43.507 cm) from snout to tail fin! Bruce was named after Bruce Lee. The Shanghai Ocean aquarium also has the longest underwater tunnel in the world.
With “experiencing the wonders of the five continents at the bottom of the sea” as its exhibition theme, The aquarium is made up of eight major exhibition area: biological, sub-Asia, South America (Amazon), Australia, Africa, cold water, polar, sea, ocean depths, displaying more than 300 varieties, article of rare fish and endangered species of rare animals, including the most special ones like is the frog Du Jian, jellyfish, bluegill, Ye Hailong, the emperor penguins, albino Agkistrodon perch, and so on.
There are 4 submarine tunnels which may be rated as the longest in the world, the total length of 168 meters. Unique auto-foot tunnel, 180 and 270-degree all-round landscape window, in order to make tourists feel they are on the scene.
