Crown Cave

Crown Cave, located in Caoping Village, 29km south of Guilin city, is one of the most famous tourist spots along the Li River. This crown-shaped cave on the bank of the Li River has attracted countless poets, scholars and nobles for hundreds of years. In 1637, Xu Xia ke, an ancient traveler in China, visited here and is thought to be the first visitor to this cave. The cave extends 12km, with only the 3km nearest the river explored, with stalagmites stand here and there inside the cave. Grotesque and imposing, they lead people into a fairyland. An underground stream originating from Mt. Haiyang empties into the Li River from this cave. Equipped with an automatic light and sound system, the cave now looks more enchanting than ever. In addition, modern facilities such as a railroad car, yacht, and sightseeing elevator provide convenience to visitors. Rafting on the river, people can enjoy the wonderful sceneries in the cave and experience the pleasure of exploration.
